Welcome to Little Sparkles EYFS provision, where we provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 2 to 5. Our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) programme is designed to ensure that every child receives the best possible start to their educational journey.
At St Andrew’s CE Primary School, we follow the guidelines set out by the Department for Education’s Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage. This framework focuses on four key principles: every child is unique, positive relationships, enabling environments, and learning and development.
We believe that every child is unique and has their own individual needs and strengths. Our dedicated and experienced staff work closely with each child to provide tailored support and opportunities for learning and development.
Positive relationships are at the heart of our EYFS program. We foster strong partnerships with parents and carers, as we believe that working together is essential for a child’s well-being and progress. We also encourage positive relationships among the children, promoting kindness, empathy, and collaboration.
Our learning environments are carefully designed to be engaging, safe, and stimulating. We provide a range of resources and activities that promote curiosity, exploration, and creativity. Outdoor learning is also an integral part of our EYFS program, as we believe that nature and the outdoors offer valuable learning experiences. Our children have access to the outdoor area all year round and participate in weekly Forest School sessions.
Learning and development are at the core of our EYFS program. We follow a play-based approach, where children learn through hands-on experiences and meaningful interactions. We provide a balance of child-initiated and adult-led activities, ensuring that children are actively involved in their learning and development.
At St Andrew’s Primary School, we prioritise the well-being and safety of every child. We have robust policies and procedures in place to safeguard children and promote their welfare. Our staff are trained in child protection and first aid, ensuring that children are in safe hands.
We believe that the early years are crucial in laying the foundation for future learning and success. Our EYFS programme aims to foster a love for learning, develop essential skills, and nurture each child’s unique potential.
