Rubies Class

Welcome to our Year 1 and 2 class. We are thrilled to have each and every one of you as part of our classroom community.

Throughout this year, we will embark on a wonderful journey of exploration, discovery, and achievement. Our main goal is to provide you with the tools and support you need to become confident readers, writers, and learners.

In English, we will focus on enhancing your reading skills using our whole class guided reading approach. We will also dive into a wide range of stories, poems, plays, and information books to expand your vocabulary and comprehension. Writing will also be a key focus, as we work on composing sentences and developing your spelling abilities.

Throughout the year, we will create a positive and inclusive classroom culture where everyone feels valued and respected. We will encourage collaboration, active participation, and open discussions. Your thoughts and ideas are important, and we can’t wait to hear them!
